Moss Creek Stables is a full service lesson and boarding in our renovated facility, located within the Moss Creek Community.
Come join us! lessons are taught by approved, professional instructors. We offer instruction for riders FIVE (5) years old and up: beginners, intermediate and advanced riders; children and adults; group.
Students should arrive 15 minutes prior to their lesson. Helmets are available and boots or soled shoes with a heel are recommended. No open toed shoes.
Group lessons are $65 for 1hour.
You can sign up for one class or multiple classes. All classes are lite rain or shine.
Choose the class that fits your ability:
— BEGINNER: If you are a new rider, learning to walk and trot, you will pick a beginner class. Beginner students will learn the fundamentals of horsemanship beginning with groundwork, safety, proper handling, horse care and behavior, anatomy, grooming, tack essentials, and of course riding.
— INTERMEDIATE: Riders can independently walk, trot and are working on the canter. Students will work on specific goals as they improve their riding skills. Riders are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early to tack up their horse.
— ADVANCED: riders can independently walk, trot, canter and go over fences. Advanced riders are encouraged to arrive 15-30mins. early to prepare their horse for their class.
— ADULT: Adult lessons are for any riders 18yrs and over who wish to ride with like-minded individuals. All skill levels welcomed.
When you sign up online, you will get a return email confirmation. At the bottom of the email is a link to use if you need to move your class to another day or time slot, with 24 hours advance notice. ANY/ALL Changes require at least 24-hour advanced notice and must be made online. There are no refunds for ‘no shows, reschedule, cancellations within 24 hours, or illnesses. All classes are held in lite rain or shine. If there is a storm, classes will be transferred to another day.
In partnership with The Community Foundation of the Lowcountry (CFL) and Friends of the Equestrian
Center (FOTEC), Moss Creek Stables Equine Assisted Program hopes to bridge the financial gap between disabled participants and the services we offer. Through donations and grants from the CFL, we can build on our mission: To provide opportunities for individuals with special needs to participate in equine assisted programs focused on enhancing their health and well-being through fostering horse and human interaction.
If you are interested in making a charitable contribution to help our program succeed and grow, you can do so through the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry which is a 501c3 non-profit organization.

We offer consistent quality care in a recently renovated barn. Our staff is professional and attentive. Board includes quality feed 2x/day, hay, blanketing (2 x/day), daily turn out on grass pastures after breakfast and again after dinner, unless otherwise requested.
- Large stalls with windows, fan, and light
- Rubber matted floors, pine shavings.
-Temperature controlled feed and tack rooms with lockers.
-5 wash stalls…4 outdoors and 1 indoors.
- Irrigated arenas, jumping, full court dressage & round pen.

We host special events, Scouts, birthday parties and large group activities.
